Most of us are not experts in desiccant industry. we have not so much knowledge of the desiccant bags. But how to simply identify the desiccant quality at your first sight? The following below are some tips.
First, See the apparence :
Good quality desiccant always contain features of excellent workmanship. You can see the shape of the desiccant bags is neat ,clear. There is no clip in the sealing . When touch , you can feel that the desiccant beads are full , round . In usual , bad desiccant pouches are rough, crooked ,with irregular wides and length and vague printings.
Second , package material:
There are no spots on good quality desiccant packaging materials with strong strenth, toughness , smooth surface, and permeabiltiy , while bad ones are irregular, weak, easy to tear ,sometime when you rub the fibers , the sealing will be cracked, or fade .
Third , raw materials:
Good ones are full ,roud ,with significant temperature when you tough the beads in your hands. Bad ones are irregular , broken, no significant heat changing or reacting .
Fourth, to measure the changing of the desiccant weight.
Perhaps it is useful way, as long as you have the simply measure equipment. When you got several desiccant bag. You can take some out ,measure the original weight ,mark it down. Put the desiccant bags in to damp environment for 48 hours , measure the weight again. at last ,put them into the oven for 3 hours in 105 degree, weight the desiccant for the third time, if the weight are below the original data, you can idendify that the desiccant do not meet the nominal weight.
