They are defined as small High Density Polyethylene or HDPE containers having adsorbents like Silica Gel, Molecular Sieves, Aluminium Oxide, Activated Carbons and their various configurations. The desiccant are placed in the medicine and dietary supplement bottles at a very high speed. A specialty of the Desiccant Canister available in the market nowadays is that they are all food grade. The Desiccant Canisters are of DMF grade having 21 CFR and European Union (EU) compliance.
Desiccant Canisters are designed in such a manner that they fit well into standard insertion equipment and therefore can easily be included in factory lines containing pharmaceutical bottles. Desiccant Canisters are available in certain standard sizes like ½ gram to 3 grams tocater to different bottles.
