Silica gel desiccant belongs to physical adsorption series desiccant type. Its main ingredient is silicon dioxide (SiO2), which is usually reacted with sodium silicate and sulfuric acid and through a series of post processes like aging and acid bubbles.
Silica gel desiccant can not be dissolved in water and any solvent except strong alkali and hydrofluoric acid. In usual, in Temperature 30°C, RH=90%, the moisture adsorption is over 25%~30%. Chunwang brand silica gel desiccant has a better adsorption capacity to 35%. The best working condition of silica gel desiccant is in 20℃~32℃ to 60℃~90℃, which can best absorbing moisture, reduce relative humidity to around 40% of the sealing space.
